Many Oasis Residents To Get Major Property Tax Break In 2011!
For many Oasis residents, the special "Mello-Roos" tax assessment initially imposed on residents when the Ryland Corporation built The Oasis, will finally end on September 1, 2011. The assessment, which in some cases, has amounted to more than $600 on many annual property tax bills, will come off the rolls on the above date.
Listed on your property tax bill as "COMM FAC DST 86-1," the exact dollar amount varies depending upon your home's square footage. (and possibly other factors as well.)
If interested in more specific detail, residents are advised to check last year's property tax statements for this line item, then call the number adjacent to that item. The telephone number is that of the Riverside County Tax Auditor, who is charged with applying special assessments levied by other taxing agencies, to your Riverside County Property Tax bill.

Traffic Mess To Be Cleared! 
Newport Road/I-215 Interchange To Be Re-designed...
Planning is underway for a modified "Cloverleaf" design that is expected to smooth traffic flow and ease Newport Road congestion. Overpass traffic signals will be eliminated and Newport Road will be widened to accomodate increasingly heavy traffic. No further details were given on the city of Menifee website. Click here...

More Than Thirty Residents Now Trained To Use New Ballroom Sound System.
Doug Garber, (left), demonstrates audio console setup to Howard Robbins (above left), Bill Barnes, (center) and John Renze. Len Ellis,(hidden) also took this advanced AV lesson.
Sound sysem training, an easy, brief, 1/2 hour session, can authorize you to gain access to the AV room and set up your own microphone(s) for use by your club or organization, for meetings in The Oasis ballroom.
Basic AV training will be conducted throughout August for those needing to use the ballroom for meetings.
